Delete your Wayter account

Wayter is an Android app by Plastilina Labs. This page is about the account you created by signing in to it with Google. You can have that account, and everything tied to it, deleted — and you do not need the app installed to ask.

Ask us to delete it

Send us an email from any device. Tell us the email address of the Google account you use to sign in to Wayter, so we can find the right account — that is the only thing we need.

We answer within 30 days at the latest, the same deadline our privacy policy commits to.

Or delete it inside the app

If you still have Wayter installed, the fastest route is in the app itself. Open it, go to your profile, tap your avatar, choose Delete my account — shown as Borrar mi cuenta when the app is in Spanish — and confirm. The account and its data are removed straight away, with no email and no waiting.

What gets deleted

  • Your profile: the user id, the email address and, where they exist, the name and profile picture Google gave us.
  • Your points, your level and every badge you have earned.
  • Every fountain report you have made — still there, gone, drinkable, dog friendly, bottle refill.
  • The copy of all of it held on our server (Supabase, European Union) and the copy on your device.

Deletion is permanent. We do not freeze or deactivate the account and keep it aside: it is removed, and there is no way for us to restore it afterwards.

What stays on the map

The fountains you added or corrected stay in Wayter, with their authorship anonymised — they stop being linked to you and become anonymous contributions. This is deliberate: a fountain is shared public information that other people now rely on, not personal data about you, and removing it would take a working fountain off the map for everyone.

If you would rather the fountains you contributed were removed as well, say so in the same email and we will look at each one.

Using Wayter without an account

The account is optional. If you never signed in, nothing of yours is on our server and there is nothing for us to delete — everything the app produced is on your device, and uninstalling the app, or clearing its data in Settings, Apps, Wayter, Storage, removes all of it.
